Our Club History
The Banyule Junior Football Club (Banyule JFC) was formed in 1967 and took occupancy of the present premises at Beverley Road, Heidelberg, in 1973. Banyule JFC competes in the Yarra Junior Football League (YJFL), which is the largest junior football league in Australia. Banyule JFC serves to provide a strong community and a family-based environment to support the development of over 340 young girls and boys that field teams from U8 mixed to Youth Girls and Youth Boys who play for the club in a competitive and healthy environment each Sunday during the football season.
Banyule JFC feeds into the Banyule Football Club (Banyule FC) to allow junior players to continue playing football with their friends under the Banyule banner as senior players. Banyule FC fields U18, Reserves, Senior Men’s and Senior Women’s teams in the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL) competition. In addition, the Banyule JFC manages the local NAB AFL Auskick program that introduces children aged between 5 to 12 years into the world of Australian Rules Football.

Our Strategic Plan
Banyule JFC, Banyule FC and Banyule Cricket Club are currently developing a joint strategic plan that will define a united vision for the future and identify our short, medium and long term goals and objectives for our respective clubs, facility and community. Our strategic plan will be available for review in Q2 2024.
